![]() I forgot to ask his name, but he was the only waiter there. I was very impressed by the service of the waiter in the restaurant. Once there, the service was very good, especially in the restaurant. Benedikta answered all emails promptly and assisted us with arranging parking for our rental car in Sibenik. The staff was very helpful in all aspects. The setting of the hotel gave me a feel of what the Meditteranean was like before big tourism: peaceful and relaxed. We have just returned from our trip to Croatia and our 2 day-visit to Prvic Luka and Hotel Maestral stands out as one of the highlights. While the rest of our trip was lovely our time with Filip and team was the highlight. What you will get at Hotel Maestral is an incredible amount of value in a serene setting from a staff that cares. If you are looking for blazing internet, fancy soaps and shampoos in the shower, or crystal chandeliers in the entry you should stick to large chain hotels in the city. Prvic is what it is, a small island in the Adriatic with no cars and no more than 140-150 inhabitants. After reading a few of the reviews I am a bit puzzled as to the expectations of these travelers. By the end of our stay the staff felt more like friends, cliché as that may sound this is the level of service that they provide. Filip, the owner, was always willing to answer a question. Mirjana was kind enough to take us on a tour of a local museum on her own time. The service was wonderful, being part of a large and sometimes boisterous group the staff was always cheerful and glad to help. The cleaning staff (1 person) is very detail oriented and even laundered our clothes without us even asking. The shutters block the morning sun which allows for a very good nights sleep. Not the largest rooms we encountered but definitely not the smallest either. Thank you Tomislav! The rooms, while ranging in size were clean and well kept. ![]() Our group was full of people who like to eat and can recognize a good meal there was never a complaint about what was served. The food, which we were always given a choice of content and timing, was unbelievable. What followed was three days of complete relaxation and pampering from the staff. Benedikta quickly checked in our group of 14 and lunch was served almost immediately. After a long day of travel we arrived on Prvic Luca and were immediately greeted by the friendly staff. We just returned from an 11 day trip through Croatia which included a three night stay at Hotel Maestral. Perhaps it was end of season fatigue but there was no life or soul to the place they have a gem with the building and location but need to do something to keep it. Breakfasts were fine and full marks for the coffee. If you have the room at the end overlooking the bay, beware as the staff sit outside the kitchen below and smoke, this comes straight up to the room if you haven't closed the window. On the other two nights we went to the restaurant at the jetty which was full and very lively, while Val, the hotel restaurant, was empty. We had to eat in as it was windy and chilly and I must say the inside is pretty depressing - much more could be done to make it attractive. There were two other couples in the restaurant 2 enjoyed their meal but the other 2 had complaints about the food too. Unfortunately, the food was so bad that Benedikta agreed to take two items off the bill. This was curious as I'd booked direct by e-mail with Benedikta. On the first night we were offered the rather dirty, dog-eared menu we explained we were on the half board option however, Benedikta told us that they really couldn't provide anything for the price so better to choose off the menu. Having read all the reviews for this hotel we were so looking forward to our visit and booked in for 3 nights half board. This is one of the places where we would glady return every year from now on! More Show less Our experience with hotel Maestral was the best ever. You may also enjoy a glass of Croatian wine on the terrace of the hotel, looking at the sea which on a calm day resembles a huge aquarium. Once you get there, you must try the traditional Croatian specialties, the soups, the traditional ham and cheese. Everyone is friendly and will make you feel among friends. ![]() One of the special charms of this hotel is the personnel. The hotel is simple but very tastefully furnished, IKEA style. ![]() With it's stone walls and wooden shutters, hotel Maestral blends perfectly in the island environment. Prvic Luka is strategically positioned between Vodice and Sibenik, two beautiful cities that have a lot to offer, but the island in itself is a perfect place for spending some days away from stress and from traffic, as there are no cars on the island. Situated on the peaceful island of Prvic Luka, this hotel is like a little gem waiting to be discovered. ![]()
